LAST Veterans Week

November 2017

AUSV wanted to bring something special to the veterans community for this year's Veterans Day--the opportunity to connect with members of the entertainment industry who represented military life to viewers of their series across the country.

In order to give back, we partnered with the Office of VALOR Student Services at The George Washington University to give back to their institution, which has touched the lives of many veterans through encouraging them to continue their education. With their help, we hosted the event at the Milken Institute of Public Health and tried to foster greater understanding between the military and entertainment communities.

The receptions were hosted at Claudia's Steakhouse

Cast Members in Attendance

The week began on a high note when we partnered with CBS Television Studios and The CW Television Network for the special screening of Valor. The screening was followed by a Q&A and cocktail reception with cast members Matt Barr and W. Tré Davis. This exclusive screening provided members of the veterans community with a unique opportunity to have their voices heard through a televised platform.
